I noticed that the cable isn't being detected by any of them so part of me thinks there could be an issue with the cable now.
I might just return it to the store where I bought it because we're getting some work done in the living room which requires me to take everything out anyway.Also, I didn't mention this but my HDMI 2 port on the receiver does not work at all with any source. I know this because when I switch the source to another port other than 2 it works perfectly. All I get is a black screen and the AVR menu. Not sure whether the firmware upgrade will fix this. The issue was indeed actually the cable. It must have gone faulty somewhere along the line.
I ordered a new one from here yesterday and it arrived today. All for £3.19!So, after I received the cable I updated the firmware which worked perfectly however, I still cannot get the second HDMI port to work. I just get a blank screen when selecting this. Both other ports work fine.

One problem solved. The issue was indeed actually the cable. It must have gone faulty somewhere along the line. I ordered a new one from here yesterday and it arrived today. All for £3.19!So, after I received the cable I updated the firmware which worked perfectly however, I still cannot get the second HDMI port to work. I just get a blank screen when selecting this. Both other ports work fine.

Can get through each stage untill i reach the video software update at which point i get the message Initializing.AVR didn't respond properly.Please check connection between the computer and your AVR.Video subsystem upgrade failed.To recover, press the Standby/On switch on the front panel to turn AVR intoStandby mode.Then press the switch again to turn your AVR back On.Wait at least 30 seconds and then press upgrade to continue.I have tried to go back and do the process again but had no joy Does anyone know how i can fix this?Thanks in advance,Matthew'Thanks, Zsolt. I have an old AVR 235 which doesnt sound quite right, think its more to do with config. I have tried the automatic config but not sure it presented me with the best settings, so would welcome some feedback.
