Intel Gigabit Network Connection Driver Windows 7
Hi,Does anyone know where I can find the latest drivers for the Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection The driver date that I have is 8/21/2013 the driver version I have is 12.10.28.0 I'm also having trouble Installing the drivers also. When I go to install what I think is the latest 2014 driver it gives me an option to modify or remove the old driver so I choose remove I don't restart the computer because it does not ask me too.
So when I go to install the new drivers I get a message after saying that the driver was not sucessfully installed and there is a red x in the message. But I still have the 2013 drivers for the date shown above. So I do not know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Intel 82579v Gigabit Network Connection Driver Windows 7 32bit
I have windows 7 64 bit Home premium.Kinnyr90. Hmmm what method of installer is it? Is it a.exe? Are you running it as administrator?you might have better luck going in to device manager and trying to update the driver manually then pointing it to the.ini file if possible. You might even find that the driver is available in the list of devices in device manager/via windows update. This is intels download page:I went to gigabytes website right now and downloaded there drivers.
Cause I have a gigabyte Board and I called them and they said that those drivers on there site work the best. That's why they have not been updated to more recent. Now I give them the benefit of the doubt but maybe it's because they have been discontinued and are not being included with any future motherboards. So there would be no drivers for them or and phone support for them or email support.Thank you!Kinnyr90.
This issue remains unresolved.Attempted to update the drivers from Intel.Attempted to revert back to the 8.1 version driver.I'm not reinstalling Windows 10. There were too many issues when I first installed it (which were fortunately fixed with patches from Windows). The PC froze, the menu was locked. Everything runs smoothly now.
But at some point my internet gets disconnected& I have to continuously reboot to reconnect. There has to/needs to be a patch to resolve this. Someone mentioned that the PC isn't accepting and/or recognizing the 'LM' adapter & will only accept a 'V' adapter, & that is why it keeps disconnecting? Only thing I could find, as I've been Googling & researchingthis issue for months now.Any new fixes/patches from Windows or Intel would be greatly appreciated.Thank you. Hello Rick,We understand the inconvenience you have experienced. What is the make and model of your computer? From the description, I suspect that the problem lies with the incompatible network drivers. Suggest you to check and install latest network drivers from device manufacturer website. You can search them using your device modelnumber. To fix this issue, follow the below mentioned troubleshooting steps and check if they helps.Method 1:Update the Network drivers throughDevice Manager manually and check if this helps.a) Open run command by pressing Windows key + R and type “ devmgmt.msc” (without quotes) and hit Enter.b) Spot and expand the “ Network Adaptor”.c). Right click on the network driver and select “ Update Driver Software”.

When it prompts to choose an optionHow do you want to search driver, then go with Search automatically for updated driver software. If you have a driver available on your PC, then select Browse my computer for driver software, then select the appropriate location, where the driver located on your PC for updating it. ( Ensure that PC is connected to Internet while performing this step)d). Once this is done, restart the computer to check the problem fixed. If it doesn't fix the issue, then Right click on the same driver and select “ Uninstall” then restart the system and let the system installthe driver automatically on Start. Check and see if it resolve the issue. ( Recommended step)Method 2:Try installing latest drivers in compatibility mode.Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.a.

It keeps reverting back to the auto-updated driver that keeps disconnecting me from the internet. Thank you, Rick.
No there is no way to do that, Windows Update automatically downloads the latest drivers for your hardware. However, you can stop this behaviour, Go to Control Panel - System and in the left pane click 'Advanced System Settings', then click on the 'Hardware' tab in the resulting dialog. Click the 'Device Installation Settings' button and select 'No'. This shouldstop Windows Update overriding drivers that actually work with your System.I can never understand why this option is on by default, if your drivers work with your system, why then would you need new drivers that clearly do not work. This option is the cause of a lot of the problems users are having with Windows 10.I hope this Helps!
