That’s only natural, it’s so obvious that something is. And at the centre of the system – but also of the majority of the human conversations –, there’s this thing called money Who creates money, and for going to whom? Intuitively, a child quickly understands it: there’s no equity in there, money is clearly a instrument of power which is in the hands of a few. So can we talk about democracy without feeling ridiculous? Some live that very well for my part, I never got used to it, money and democracy form a couple straight out of a humiliating and intolerable farce.School should invite children to take a critical look on money, but it’s not. Yet, there’s food for thought, with substantive ideas like, Why such humanistic, positive, heartening ideas are not taught at school?

Thus was born the desire for a presentation of the RTM intended for children. For example, RTM’s Office of Research and Project Administration manages institutional and external research funds and funding proposals, and the Sloan Kettering Institute fiscal budget. Clinical Research Administration, oversees activities related to clinical research operations and compliance, including services related to protocol activation and management, quality assurance, human research subject protections, and pre- and post-award fiscal management.

The Office of Technology Development (OTD) manages Memorial Sloan Kettering’s world-class portfolio of intellectual property and works to ensure that inventions made by our investigators have the greatest chance of translating into improvements in cancer care for people everywhere.The division is also responsible for maintaining policies and procedures and providing training that help ensure that all research conducted at MSK is held to the highest ethical standards and adheres to prevailing sponsor policies and research compliance regulations. It is also responsible for the administration of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), Export Control Program, and research with hESC, hSPC, gamete generation, and/or human embryos.In addition, RTM hosts a range of courses and training programs for faculty, research fellows, and other research staff.
