No Cd Crack For Gta 3 Download
Game or Patch Questions?
Here's the Fix.Step 1. Download the 28.32winxp for Nvidia driver from But do to i have a GeForce2 400 MX400 from gateway all i can run is Nvidia driver 21.83 or i get a blank screen on boot. But 28.32 is the best.
View image: /infopop/emoticons/iconwink.gifStep 2. Download DX81NTeng DirectX from Even though they say you don't need it for XP,there's definitely a difference. My system would lock up and then reboot with a fatal error when the game gotinvolved. This DirectX version solved that problem for me.Step 3. Configure the GeForce properties:Turn OFF antialiasingEnable fog table emulation(Not sure about other cards.)Step 4. Set GTA3.EXE to run in compatibility mode:Run program in compatibility mode for Windows 98/Windows ME.Disable visual themes.Step 5.
Copy the entire contents of the Play disc into GTA3 directory all but the MP3's. Overwrite ALL files.
I'mnot sure if thisreally helped, so you can save this step for last if you want. Put the Mp3's in the audio folder. ( the audio is inthe GTA3 folder.Step 6. Download GTA3pcsmoothnessfix fromJust extract the files to a directory of your choice (you will need winace or winrar to perform the extraction). Run 3DAnalyze.exeClick the Select button under the EXE portion and locate your GTA3.exe file.Check the Force SW TnL option and click start. This will launch GTA3.This forces GTA3 to use Software rendering rather than Hardware rendering during gameplay. This was probably the biggest help of all.Step 7.
Finally, unless you want to give yourself a big time headache, turn OFF the Trails option. Definitely, theonly use for it is to just slow the game down.Kill all unnecessary background tasks before you run the game.I got most of my information fromIf you still have problems, check out this site for more information.Good Luck and be sure to kill or run some one down in the game for me.
View image: /infopop/emoticons/iconbiggrin.gif Have fun! View image: /infopop/emoticons/iconwink.gif(.)Disc 2: A Problem Within Itself'¦GTA3 uses Disc2 to store its sound effects, etc, under the Audio directory, meaning it's constantly reading the CDduring game play.
This is a disaster for those of you who have a slow CD reader You're probably wondering 'How couldthis be? My CD drive's read speed is 48x, so that should be enough, but I still experience problems!' Well, there's also copy protection on both of the GTA3 CDs, which slows down the read speed a bit. Still don't thinkthat's the problem? Think about this.
Each sound is stored on the CD. When you're in the game, there's a lot ofsound, right? People yelling, car engines' revving, the radio, gunshots, tire screeches, etc. Well, every single oneof those sounds has to be read from the CD.
So if there are, say, 32 sounds being played in the game, GTA3 has to read all of those sounds at the same time from the CD. Now are you convinced?View image: /infopop/emoticons/iconsmile.gif. I will tell you this, I am MUCH happier after I got a cracked executable. Now I don't have to listen to my overly loud DVD-ROM spin up all the time. I think that is the only way you would see a difference by copying the audio directory though.Maybe this will help cut down on some of the GTA3 thread duplication around here View image: /infopop/emoticons/iconsmile.gifEDIT: Wait, I take back what I said about the audio earlier. Upon further investigation, I found this in the fixed.exe readme:quote:if you don't like emulating or inserting cd2, then:copy content (all files in audio of cd2) in your audio directorystart the fixed exe. This message was edited by LaserJim on June 13, 2002 at 02:10.

Steps 1-3 didn't work.Detonator drivers don't work well with my Radeon, but I'll try the rest later View image: /infopop/emoticons/iconsmile.gifCouple mentions:What he means by software rendering is actually DISABLING hardware T&L for your card.
It seems to smooth things out a bit, but considering you can't use fraps with the 3danalyzer, it's hard to tell raw numbers. Also, Trails doesn't seem to work correctly on a non-directx8.1 card, so GFmx's, Radeons, and GF2 cards make trails look really ugly and blurry. It's subtle on GF3/4/Radeon 8500 cards. Quote:Originally posted by andrzejpw:hmm, my no cd doesn't work. Just make sure to move the audio files and you should be goldenNote: the UBB code doesn't seem to like my message, so I changed it slightly so it is easier to copy and paste.
Make sure to include ALL of the line, the end doens't look right, but its supposed to look like thatThis message was edited by LaserJim on June 13, 2002 at 15:24.This message was edited by LaserJim on June 13, 2002 at 15:28. Read the gta3 readme file. It contains info on some fixes.for nvidia users with WinXP. Download and install the MS Knowledge base fix that I have on my web site (it may even help with radeon. Not sure)just install the game from CD1.
Then copy all the contents of the Audio folder on CD2 INTO the CD1 folder (don't overwrite it. Just copy the contents into it). Then replace the.exe with the cracked.exeThe last step is to run the patch. I've put the patch, the.exe and the winxp/nvidia fix all on my website. You can download it all fromGod's peace, mercutio.
This sucks the big one.Lowered res to 800x600x32, set weather to no rain (via cheats), used 3DAnalyze to start up game (still unknown whether you need to run GTA3 via this analyzer all the time View image: /infopop/emoticons/iconconfused.gif).Plus, on WinXP, I created new user 'Gamer' with Windows Classic desktop, only AV/Firewall program in the background, and yet, game still runs choppy in certain parts -specially since I got into Stauton Island; this part is much more complex (read: choppier) than the first part.900Mhz TB, 640MB PC133, R8500 64MB. I think I isolated my problem. After running the Direct3D test, it crapped out running the version 8 test giving this message:'Direct3D test results: Failure at step 5 (GetDeviceCaps): HRESULT = 0x8876086a (3D not available)'.Umm I have a Geforce 4 ti4200, I'm pretty sure it supports it. Heck the Voodoo 3 in my old PC ran the dx8 test and so did the Rage Ultra in my computer at work.
Must be a problem with the OS. Both of the working computers have Windows 2000. My new one (with the GF4) is running XP Pro.quote:Step 2. Download DX81NTeng DirectX from Even though they say you don't need it for XP, there's definitely a difference. My system would lock up and then reboot with a fatal error when the game got involved. This DirectX version solved that problem for me.iSpy, How did you get it installed?

I tried installing it but none of the file versions have changed. Is there a way to uninstall DirectX in Windows XP? Everything i've seen seems to be complaining about low framerates, i don't seem to have that problem, but i can't get the game to run without crashing about 10-15 seconds after i get into the car in the very beginning.
If i hit anything while driving it crashes immediately. As you can tell this is pretty frustrating. I'm running WinXP with all the latest updates on an AXP 1600+ with 512MB ram, GF 256 DDR, Xitel Storm Platinum A3D 2.0 sound card. I thought hte problem might be the sound card so i've gone through the audio options all the way to D3D software. I've tried all the fixes given in this and thread and that got me to the point where it plays fairly smoothly for about 10 seconds then crashes.EDIT: I tried turning the view distance all the way down based on one of the support topics and now it doesn't crash randomly. It still crashes every time i touch anything while driving the car. This message was edited by PhalSe on June 17, 2002 at 23:24. Just thought I'd posted an update. After following the advice on a thread I did over A/V, where they recommended (even though the Detonator drivers were uninstalled) to run Detonator Destroyer -I also ran nvclean. Before that, I uninstalled the Radeon 8500 drivers, ran those utilities before rebooting, once back up I installed the R8500 drivers again and lo and behold, GTA3 was running fine, even at 1024x768x32.I was also advised to 'go into the gta3/models directory and delete txd.dir and txd.img so it rebuilds them and does its 'optimizing' for your current settings.'

So I'm now happy, even though the game still chokes on some parts of the city -which reminds me, who posted a picture of the wireframe rendering of GTA3 (using 3DAnalyzer) and it showed buildings using an enourmous amount of polygons??Maybe that's what causes this choppiness(sp?)?? So you did the deleting/reoptimizing of the textures eh? I wish I knew what 'optimizations' it actually did.
And it sucks we don't get the choice.check out for some gta3 screenshots. I believe 14 and 16 are the wireframe models. In 14 you can see me looking up near a building and a LOT of polygons are there. It's just a normal building and doesn't have any curves or anything.edit: I still would run at 16 bit colour though. If you can tell a difference, let me know and I'll check again, but I didn't see anything that made 16 bit any worse than 32 bit in this game. Saving the texture memory is more important to me with all the textures it uses.
Ok, I deleted those files and even after GTA3 did its thing with optimizing the textures for my videocard, the game felt the same. Also -and I guess it's more noticeable since it's faster View image: /infopop/emoticons/iconbiggrin.gif- on some parts of the city it REALLY slows down, not to a crawl, but close, VEWY CLOSE. View image: /infopop/emoticons/iconfrown.gifI will try running the game without the 3DAnalyzer; I doubt it'll make much of a difference. In the meantime:ROCKSTAR, PATCH THIS FSCKING GAME ALREADY!!!!!!
