We'll also learn how to use a digital elevation model to make a 3D object of a real-world location. Finally, we'll go over how to use a splat map in Unreal Engine to distribute textures across your landscape. By the end of this World Machine training, you'll have the knowledge you need to start creating your own landscapes.

Current project I'm working on is Outspaced, which is a Sci-Fi webseries, but I'm also a tutor on many 3D applications, like E-On Software's Vue application, World Machine, Cinema 4D, and many others. In this course, we're going to dive into World Machine and look at the guts, how it operates. We'll cover what all the devices included in World Machine are, and also go over an awesome plug-in for it, called GeoGlyph. We'll then learn how we can implement what we have created in World Machine in a game engine, such as the Unreal Engine. And this course will also cover how to use real world map data, or (mumbles) files.
So if you want to make a 3D image of your favorite mountain, or perhaps country, we'll learn how to do just that in this lesson.
