I was able to get my widget to work and create a.deb file! All contributions lead me to learn!. Well, I can’t say anything for you right now. Personally, I would stay with the jailbreak because iOS 8 jailbroken is still way more advanced than iOS 9.

I can understand your liking the iOS 7 beta because it was a complete overhaul, but I don’t think that iOS 9 is that much of a difference, so I don’t think that it’s really worth it.However, it depends really on the type of jailbreak user you are. I’d suggest you to go and figure out if those features are more useful to you than your tweaks. Remember though – if you update, there’s no going back!. Here is my comment from a couple weeks ago to someone else on how to make a.deb, the directory names will be a little different; having folders var, mobile, Library, LockHTML (following the hierarchy of where you'd place the theme manually). I have my own GitHub repo so I know how to make.debs now hahaYay! So to make a.deb:. First you need to create a main folder, and name it whatever you want (ex: MyTheme).

Inside this folder, create 2 more folders: Library & DEBIAN (make sure DEBIAN is in all caps). Inside the DEBIAN folder you'll need to make a control file, is saurik's example on a control file. You can create this in notepad and save it as a.txt, and I'll tell you what to do with it in the next part.So now, from the Library folder make another folder inside there called Themes and inside that folder you'll place your MyTheme.theme bundle with all the necessary parts. Your folder structure should be:MyTheme -> Library -> Themes -> MyTheme.theme -> IconBundles -> etcMyTheme -> DEBIAN -> Control. Once you have all these folders done, use iFunbox or Cyberduck to place the folder onto your phone.

I like to put mine in /var/mobile/DocumentsWhen the folder is done, go to the Control file and rename it, dropping the.txt so it should just be Control. You'll need OpenSSH on your phone and PuTTY on your computer. Start PuTTY and establish a connection to your phone (if you don't know how to SSH I can help you there). When the connection to your phone is established type in: cd /var/mobile/Documents (or wherever you've placed your folder) and this will navigate to the directoryOnce it says you're in the proper directory, type: dpkg -b 'MyTheme' and press enter and it will create the.deb.

You'll get an error saying 'ignoring 4 errors in the control file' or something, but this is totally fine. Got my DEBIAN and control file sorted.So my hierarchy goes like this:Widget/Library/GroovyLock and LockHTMLI created my.deb but it doesn't seem to install into this folder. I have no idea where it installs:/Edit:It seems to install to /Library and not var/mobile/Library. I changed my file structure to this but when I do so, I can't create the.deb? I am using Filza as suggested by as it easily creates it. Do I keep the DEBIAN folder just after the root folder, and continue with the file structure or must it always be coupled with the Library folder?Edit 2:I got it! I had to keep the DEBIAN folder after the root and continue the hierarchy. 1) create the filesystem for the Deb including the control.ini folders and files2) copy the folder structure into your iDevice.3) install 'dpkg-ex', I'll get the repo: it's in Reddit Community Repo:4) open a terminal prompt and log into SU/Alpine or whatever your root is.

CD to where your tweak folder was copied to- I put them in my /mobile/downloads folder. You can make the folder name the full name of the Deb, but to make it easier I rename the folder to something short.4) type dpkg-ex 'folder.name' quotes are not needed, it will create the Deb file if your FS and Control.ini are correct. If they are not, it will fail to create the Deb.5) you can do it in reverse to extract a Deb, type dpkg-ex tweak.deb - it will extract to a new folder named 'tweak' (or whatever the Deb file name is).
